Welcome to Golden Heritage on Neocities. This is a fanpage dedicated to the Jojo's Bizarre Adventure series, as well as the fan community that surrounded it prior to the release of the 2012 anime adaptation.

Prior to the gargantuan impact that David Productions' anime adaptation has had on pop culture, Jojo was a little-known series to the English-speaking community. It had enjoyed massive popularity in it's country of origin of Japan, Italy and France through publication in 2002-2004, and Taiwan through fan translations in 2003. As a result, most fanpages around Jojo prior to the 2010s were written in Japanese or Italian!

The English-speaking world was particularly excluded for the longest time from this popular series, with only parts of Stardust Crusaders and Heritage for the Future receiving an English translation prior to the anime debut. Some say that it was due to copyright issues, but the more likely reason was it was simply too niche to warrant a full-scale translation effort. Of course, fan translations were available (and still are the only way to read all of Parts 6-9 in English), although their quality wasn't always so rigorous. Parts 4 and 5, for example, were known to the Anglophone world through grossly inaccurate (if humorous) scanlations up until ~2015 and 2017 respectively, like the 'Duwang' scans. In this regard, it's quite a good time to be a Jojo fan.

Despite this, many remnants of the English-speaking fan community remain online, and are an interesting look into how this once-niche series proliferated organically across the internet. The amount of fan works (fanart, fanfiction, garage kit figures, MADs, etc.) that can be found fascinates me to no end, and I hope to share all that I've found in a semi-tribute style on this page with you.

This website aims to archive as much Jojo-related material as I can get my hands on, with particular focus given to pages related to Part 5: Vento Aureo. Stay tuned while I keep adding and archiving on this website, check out any of both the new and old fanpages that catch your eye, and consider creating your own fanpage to share with the internet for years to come!
